Pat was always cheerful, willing to help and played a great part in making the Railway the success it is today. His contribution will always be remembered by us all, and his friendship over the years I will greatly miss. *Roger Sills*
If something needed doing or things were going wrong We'd send for Pat to fill the gap With his steel-capped boots and his railway cap And his smile as wide as the day is long. If something more needs doing or we're going down the pan There's no one now to fill that gap To wear Pat's boots nor his railway cap Nor smile in adversity like that man. Now does the celestial railway when things are not quite right Send out for Pat to fill the gap With his golden boots and his haloed cap And a smile that brightens the eternal light. JC
